We have shown this commitment with the addition of a 12,000 square foot Skilled Nursing Facility and Rehabilitation Center. The Greenbrier Village Skilled Nursing Facility is both spacious and beautiful. Having the understanding that people recuperate better in a comfortable, homelike environment, we have created that very setting.

The Skilled Nursing Facility is warm and inviting with spacious rooms, a beautiful dining room, and a splendid sunroom for the patients to relax and visit with their friends and family members.

It is important to have Skilled professionals who are committed to the rehabilitation process and understand the importance of meeting the total needs of all the patients. Dan Burchel, R.P.T., our Rehabilitation Manager, has guided therapies in our Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center since we opened in 1998.

The addition of our Skilled Nursing Facility enables Greenbrier Village to continue the tradition of providing the most appropriate level of care to meet the needs of all our residents while also ensuring the continuation of a Meaningful Life.

Committed, Caring Professional Therapists

    Our Skilled Nursing Facility has experienced, licensed professionals to meet the physical, occupational, and speech therapy needs of all patients in an environment conducive to the healing process. Planned activity programs give each patient the opportunity for socialization and recreation in a group setting.

Evelyn Tarpenning a former resident at Burgundy had a broken hip and worked with Dan and his staff at our Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Evelyn is now back to walking with her walker and getting out and enjoying the things she likes to do. "I love it here, I'm going to hate to leave. Importance of Socialization

Each therapist is a part of the Greenbrier Village team and understands the importance of our mission. It is the goal of the therapy team to offer rehabilitation to their patients ensuring that each patient has the ability to reach their maximum potential. Geriatric residents who have orthopedic procedures or other complex health conditions often do not reach maximal physical function during the acute hospital stay. Our therapies allow for extended rehabilitation in the post-acute stage. Our higher level of Skilled Nursing Center care offers up to 3 hours of therapies a day and up to 5 days a week. Therapies are utilized at levels that each resident can tolerate.
