Special Care

    Individuals with cognitive impairments have special needs that must be addressed in a routine, familiar, and simple manner.  The Rogers Home is uniquely qualified to address those special needs.  By offering a small, personal, homelike environment, residents are able to acclimate to their new home while establishing a routine that is familiar.  The rooms, hallways, bathrooms, and overall decor are customized for residents with cognitive impairments.

Our residents are given assistance in selecting what they would like to eat at each meal from the menu of Greenbrier's Rose Garden Cafe. Rogers Home residents are then served in their own private dining room.

Security is a fundamental need.  Understanding that fundamental need for our cognitively impaired residents is what contributes to the success of The Rogers Home.  Our facility is equipped with key pad locks that can only be opened with a numeric code.  Each room is equipped with a call light system.  If a resident needs assistance all they have to do is push a button to alert a member of our staff.

The "Life Enrichment Gide" for the Rogers Home plans activities for the residents. Some of these activities includes: exercise, Bingo, birthday and holiday parties, and special musical entertainment.
